Frisko

Found on 12 May 2026 in the village of Postupice.

This boy was found together with a female dog in the village of Postupice on 12 May 2026. From what we've learned, their owner simply abandoned them both.

Frisko is a young shepherd cross weighing just under 30 kg. We estimate his age at 2–4 years. At first sight he'll charm you with his elegant black coat and beady button eyes. Behind them, though, is a dog who needs a patient and experienced person. With people he knows and trusts he can be a great companion. He lets new people in only gradually and needs time to gain confidence. He doesn't cope well with changes of environment or new situations, which can make him nervous.

Frisko is very treat-motivated and loves to cooperate. He enjoys working with people and learning new commands, although he can't concentrate for very long yet. He's still learning to walk on a lead and will need further guidance there.

Handling and care routines are still difficult for him. When he feels pressured or cornered, he may react inappropriately. That's why we're looking for a home with someone who understands dog communication, can read his signals and will work with him sensitively and with respect. He doesn't get along with other dogs — the one exception being the female he was found with, to whom he has a strong bond (she kept him firmly in line). He chases cats and isn't suitable for children. He tends to guard his space in his kennel.

For Frisko we're looking for a calm, stable home without children or other animals, ideally with an experienced owner who'll appreciate his potential and be willing to invest time in building mutual trust. In the right hands he can become a devoted and capable companion.
